At Antigonish Farmers’ Mutual Insurance Company, we live where you live. We believe in supporting the communities where our members reside. We do so in many ways, including financial contributions to worthwhile causes. For example, we make annual pledges of $5,000 to both the
St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation and the Coady International Institute Expansion Project.
In 2007, we also provided the Coady $6,900 representing
a one half bursary for a foreign student. We donated $5,000 to the
Cumberland Health Care Foundation in Amherst, which helped them
update their digital imaging equipment. In 2007 we became a major sponsor at
the annual United Way Golf Tournament Fundraiser in Sydney.
In 2008 we completed our $15,000 pledge to the Keating Millennium
Centre in Antigonish. We recently pledged $20,000 towards the
Inverness Hospital Foundation project. Our company and
staff have also helped raised money for The Children's Wish
Foundation, Cancer Research and Big
Brothers and Big Sisters.
